Paradigm Shift: Partner or Pay Up?
Brody Mulderig, Executive Director, Financial Technology, Corporate Client Banking, J.P. Morgan
Andrew Spicehandler, Executive Director, Investment Banking, Financial Institutions Group, J.P. Morgan
The fundamental nature of how financial products are manufactured, distributed and serviced has been forever changed by technology. We discuss why these fundamental changes lead to growth and disintermediation, with valuation implications for the incumbents and disruptors – a phenomenon we expect for the foreseeable future. Incumbents must re-establish their customer value proposition and determine where to join forces, and where to compete against fintech innovators or risk being left behind

    9:55 AM – 10:35 AM
To Integrate or Not to Integrate
Steve Charlebois, Managing Director, Semler Brossy Consulting Group LLC
Mike Rozman, CEO & Co-Founder, BoeFly Inc.
Frank Sorrentino III, Chairman & CEO, ConnectOne Bank
Moderated by:  Al Dominick, CEO, Bank Director & FinXTech
During the deal, integration issues are discussed, but after the close they become real. Some choose to integrate and others decide to hold their entities apart. Either way, management, financial systems, compensation programs and culture have to work together. These issues hold the keys to unlocking the value of the deal.

    10:35 AM – 10:50 AM
    Refreshment Break

    10:50 AM – 12:15 PM
    Peer Exchange Sessions
Attendees are divided into small groups of peers to talk in closed-door, off-the-record sessions about topics that are most relevant to them. Building on the reseller and partnership session yesterday, these peer-to-peer sessions allow a fintech-only audience to talk through the nature of strategic partnerships and delve into reseller agreements or talk about valuation and the M&A process.

    12:15 PM – 1:15 PM
    Networking Lunch

    1:15 PM – 1:20 PM

    2:00 PM – 2:40 PM
    Crafting The Right Round
Anup Chamrajnagar, Vice President, Point72 Ventures
Margaret Hartigan, CEO & Founder, Marstone, Inc.
Jerry Plush, Vice-Chairman, President & CEO, Amerant Bancorp, Inc.
Moderated by: Kelsey Weaver, Director, Locality Bank
As you plan for the next round of investment, do you want a strategic investor or a traditional venture capitalist? What are the pros and cons of each – and what is the best for your organization?

    2:40 PM – 3:20 PM
What Bankers and Regulators Expect of Fintech Partners
Greg Garry, Executive Vice President & Chief Operations Officer, The Bancorp, Inc.
Clayton Mitchell, Managing Principal Fintech, Crowe LLP
Kirsten Muetzel, Managing Director & Founder, KLM Advisory
Bankers expect you to be buttoned up. There are financial due diligence and regulatory compliance expectations. There are also culture and fit issues. What are the expectations if you want to work with banks?

    3:20 PM – 4:00 PM
    The Future of Financial Delivery
Lee Wetherington, Senior Director of Strategy, Jack Henry & Associates, Inc.
Traditional banks like J.P. Morgan, as well as community banks, plan to stay in the game. Neo banks are building for specific consumers and businesses, vertical SaaS companies want their piece of financial delivery, and there are large tech companies embracing and retreating from delivering financial services. How will this all shake out? What does the environment look like in 2025?

    4:00 PM – 4:10 PM

Al Dominick, CEO, Bank Director & FinXTech
